The research team CHAP - Child Health and Parenting is a multidisciplinary group with a primary focus on evaluations within public health; interventions, methods of working or interaction models that focus on public health improvement, especially among children and parents. Research is carried out in projects and often in collaboration with municipalities, county councils and NGOs, for it to be rooted in society and of use to the public. The group consists of 30 people with a background in psychology, public health, medicine, sociology, health economics, statistics, etc.

We are currently seeking a researcher within the area of health economics.

 

Job assignment

We are seeking a researcher with a PhD degree. The position focuses on empirical health economics research in the following projects:

  • Health economic evaluation of Proton Beam Therapy compared to Modern Photon Radiation Therapy, in collaboration with Gothenburg University (Funded by Cancerfonden)
  • Health economic evaluation of early interventions for children and young people
  • Health economic evaluations of public health initiatives
  • Health economic evaluations of various digital-based initiatives in the field of mental health.

In the projects, there is a need for knowledge in various health economic methods, epidemiology and statistics. The tasks include collecting and analyzing data, performing analyses of cost and effect data and writing scientific publications.

 

Requirements

The candidate should have a PhD in one of the following areas: health economics, medical science, epidemiology, public health. The ideal candidate should have experience in conducting cost-effectiveness analyses using advanced statistical methods.

 

Additional qualifications
A background in healthcare and previous experience in register-based studies that can be demonstrated by scientific publications are merits. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish.
