The research team CHAP - Child Health and Parenting is a multidisciplinary group with a primary focus on evaluations within public health; interventions, methods of working or interaction models that focus on public health improvement, especially among children and parents. Research is carried out in projects and often in collaboration with municipalities, county councils and NGOs, for it to be rooted in society and of use to the public. The group consists of 30 people with a background in psychology, public health, medicine, sociology, health economics, statistics, etc.

We are currently seeking a research assistant within the area of health economics.

 

Job assignment

We are seeking a research assistant/health economist with a strong interest for research. The position focuses on empirical health economics research in the following projects:

  • Cost-effectiveness analysis of treatments for alcohol-related disorders
  • Health economic evaluation of different healthcare improvement projects
  • Health economic evaluation of non-pharmaceutical interventions aiming to improve children’s mental health
  • Health economic evaluation of public health interventions

In the projects, there is a need for knowledge in health economic methods, public health, epidemiology and statistics. The tasks include collecting and analyzing data, performing analyses of cost and effect data and conduct cost-effectiveness analyses.

 

Requirements
The candidate should have a Master of Science in Health Economics or related areas relevant to the job assignment. The candidate should have experience in conducting statistical analysis of cost and effect data and have strong writing skills.

 

Additional qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to think creatively about research. Fluency in spoken and written English and Swedish is desirable. Experience of research and development projects as well as experience of previous academic work is also an advantage. You must be ambitious, serious and used to delivering what you undertake. The ideal candidate should envisage a future in research.
