The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 260 employees and has a turnover just over 250 million SEK. At the department's seven programs, we conduct very successful research of a high international standard. We have a large number of externally funded research projects, often with international cooperation and we see continued good growth in our subject area. The department has education assignments in engineering programs and master's programs. More information is available on our website.

Subject description/work duties: The main duties involved in a researcher position is to conduct research. Teaching may also be included, but up to no more than 20% of working hours.

The present research project concerns modelling electrified oxide materials for applications in electrochemical energy storage/conversion. The focus of this project will be on i) further developments of finite field methods for modelling protonic electric double layer (https://doi.org/10.1088/2515-7655/ab9d8c); ii) applications of finite field methods for modelling electrochemical interfaces. This project is funded by European Research Council (ERC).
