Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry - BMC

The chemistry research at BMC focuses on issues related to catalysis, molecular recognition, and structure and dynamics of complex molecular systems, as well as the correlation between the presence of chemical compounds and biomolecules with various disease states. There is also strong research in methodology and technology development, including the design and synthesis of small organic molecules and biological macromolecules.

Development of new biochemical and analytical methods are the basis for advanced studies of biological systems and their regulation, as well as how diseases can be diagnosed and treated. Researchers with expertise in mass spectrometry and biophysical methods of interaction analysis operates in proteomics and drug discovery areas.

Our Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics Facility offers a wide spectra of services where researchers both with and without previous experience in mass spectrometry can put light into new problems.

The services of the platform include both routine analyzes and development of advanced methods tailored for specific scientific applications. Our facility is placed within the analytical chemistry program which has a long tradition within bioanalysis and mass spectrometry.

You can find more information about us here.

We are looking for a research engineer who will work at the Mass Spectrometry-based proteomics facility.
