Electrification, digitalisation and health technology are among the largest areas for the future in the conversion to sustainable societies. The Department of Electrical Engineering conducts successful research and education in the areas - renewable energy sources, electric vehicles industrial IoT, 5G communication and wireless sensor networks as well as smart electronic sensors and medical systems. The Department of Electrical Engineering is an international workplace with around 130 employees that all contribute to important technical energy and health challenges at the Ångström Laboratory.

The position will be at the Division of Solid State Electronics, the Department of Electrical Engineering. The research project will focuse on the design of electronics and systems.

Duties:

  • Design of electronics and electronic systems related to the division's research projects,including analog integrated circuits and systems, radio circuits and radio
    communication on chip and PCB level, and measurement technology for this, mainly using silicon-based electronics. Application of microcontrollers and FPGA control systems may also be included.
  • Participate in the department's postgraduate education in the field.
  • Work to ensure that achieved research results are communicated.
  • The position will also include teaching at the undergraduate level and advanced level, max 20%.

Requirements:

  • The applicant must hold a Doctoral degree in Technical Physics and / or Electrical
    Engineering with a focus on semiconductor components and electronics, or a foreign degree that is deemed to correspond to such degrees.
  • Experience in chip design, electronics design, technology for embedded systems,
    wireless communication and design tools for this.
  • Experience of supervision of doctoral students and bachelor/master thesis workers.
  • Experience of teaching at basic and advanced level in Swedish and English.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in Swedish and English.
