Permanent full-time employment with access as soon as possible. 6 months probationary period may be applied.

Work duties: Responsibility for installation, maintenance and operation of technical equipment in a research environment. Administrative tasks for documentation of test results, calibration and maintenance of machines and for teaching (graduate schools or undergraduate education). Development of test methods. Production of equipment parts through design (drawings) and subsequent material selection / ordering and possibly mechanical processing in workshop. Experience of working in a cell-lab is desirable.

  • Purchasing of research equipment, chemicals and consumables.
  • Chemical manager.
  • Responsible / contact person for laboratory premises.
  • Material analysis.
  • Responsible for laboratory equipment.
  • Carry out technical development work.
  • Responsible for different types of mechanical test equipment.
  • Conduct cell studies.

Qualification requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in  materials science, mechanical, biomedical or chemical engineering. Knowledge and experience of material characterization is a requirement.

The work requires a good ability to communicate in English in speech and writing.

Good co-operation skills, independence, initiative and a structured way of working are very important qualities. It is important that you are pedagogical, structured and that you can work carefully and efficiently both individually and in groups.

Additional qualifications: Previous experience of material synthesis, material analysis, SEM, XRD, TGA, HPLC, mechanical evaluation of materials, abrasion testing and micro-CT are meritorious. Previous experience of working in clean rooms and / or cell labs is an advantage.

As this position is largely a service-oriented function, it is important that you can take responsibility for and lead sub-projects and that you enjoy a supportive role.
