Researcher position in psychology with focus on affective neuroscience - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Uppsala university invites applications for a research position in psychology with focus on affective neuroscience at the Department of Psychology. The position is financed during 3 years by a research grant from Vetenskapsrådet, the Swedish Research Council.

Description and requirements: To qualify, the applicant must hold a doctor’s degree in psychology or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a doctorate. The position is aimed to newly graduated researchers, which is why applicant´s with a completed doctoral degree within 3 years will be given priority. Because the work will involve statistical analyses of positron emission tomography (PET) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, prior experience of these two neuroimaging techniques, as well as analytic methods like Statistical Parametric Mapping, is necessary. The research further involves brain imaging assessments of patients with anxiety disorders including studies of treatment effects on neurotransmitter systems and neural activity. Therefore, the successful candidate should ideally have knowledge in clinical psychology, medicine or neuroscience. Past experience of training in clinical psychology, medicine, or neuroscience. Past experience of clinical trials is a merit. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a consistent academic record, including publications in international journals. Because most of the research is conducted within various research groups, good social skills are valuable and personal interviews of suitable candidates may be conducted
