The research conducted at the Department of Physics and Astronomy encompasses a wide range of physics topics, distributed over ten divisions. The department is located in the Ångström laboratory and employs nearly 400 people, 125 of whom are doctoral students. It offers a broad physics curriculum to undergraduate and graduate students, participation in nationally and internationally leading projects for researchers, and opportunities for partnership with industry and various outreach activities. Duties: You will participate in instrumental upgrade on a temperature dependent resistivity instrument. The work involves upgrading measurements protocols, upgrading sensing capabilities as well as making test measurements of a new carrier setup.

Requirements: Applicants should have knowledge corresponding to a Master degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science. Good knowledge of the English language in writing and speaking is mandatory. 

Additional qualifications: Good computer skills are a merit, as well as good knowledge of condensed matter physics, mathematics and practical laboratory experience. Familiarity with similar instrumentation will be considered a special merit as well as skills including knowledge of resistivity measurements.

The work of the position is carried out in the laboratories of the Materials Physics Division at the Ångström laboratory.

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: 01-12-2020 or as otherwise agreed.

Type of employment: Temporary position ending 02-28-2021, or 3 months.

Scope of employment: 100 %.
