The Department of Peace and Conflict Research was established in 1971 to conduct peace research and offer courses in peace and conflict studies. Currently approx. 80 persons are employed at the Department and at present some 300-400 students are enrolled every academic year. Courses offered include undergraduate and postgraduate courses, as well as a PhD programme. For more information, visit www.pcr.uu.se.
The project and duties: The research assistant will assist the project leader who is working on an EU funded project aimed at reducing societal polarization in the EU. The Research Assistant will participate in: the writing of literature reviews and research reports, the organisation of workshops and meetings and the coordination of activities between partners in multiple EU countries involved in this project.

Additional qualifications: Basic training in applied statistics and data analysis is valued.
Salary: Individual salary.
Starting date: 1 January 2021, or as otherwise agreed.
Type of employment: Temporary position ending 31 March 2021 (3 months).
Scope of employment: 60 %
