The research focus of this PhD position is set for the understanding of organizational performance generated by the use of the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). As AI applications become more and more capable and less and less expensive, they find their ways into numerous uses, both in business and non-commercial settings. Current research suggests, however, that the aspired performance effects to be generated by the use of AI applications are not always realized and that performance benefits from AI use may be conditioned by a set of complementary factors. The intended research focus here is therefore to advance our knowledge of the factors that condition successful use of AI applications.
