A Research Fellow Position in Computing Education Research - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Information Technology holds a leading position in research as well as teaching at all levels. The department has 280 employees, including 120 faculty and 110 PhD students, and 30 research groups. More than 4000 students are enrolled annually. The research fellow position is in the research group Uppsala Computing Education Research Group (UpCERG), which conducts world-leading research in a number of areas related to computing education research. The group has today 2 professors, 5 university lecturers, 1 post-doctoral fellow and 4 doctoral students. For more information, see https://www.it.uu.se/research/group/upcerg.

Duties/Project description: This position is within the EU project COMnPLAY Science (https://comnplayscience.eu/). UpCERG is involved in all parts of this project and whoever is employed as a research fellow will be involved in all parts of the project, but with emphasis on data collection and analysis.

The position will be held for one year and can start as soon as possible.

Requirements: PhD degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in Computing Education Research (or similar with documented work in the area of Computing Education Research). Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.

Additional qualifications: High-quality publications in international peer-reviewed journals or conferences are expected. The applicant should be highly motivated, able to work well in a diverse group, comfortable giving and receiving constructive criticism, and have strong abilities for critical thinking and structured work. Proficiency in Swedish (spoken and written) is a bonus.

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: As soon as possible or as otherwise agreed.

Type of employment: Temporary position ending in 12 months.
