Substantial knowledge of Ethiopian politics and of Addis Abeba as a case, including the role of civil society and political institutions. Fluency in English (writing and speaking). Good cooperative skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Meritorious: Experience of fieldwork in conflict-affected settings. Experience of fieldwork and data collection in Africa, particularly in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. Locally relevant language skills.
