IRES, the Institute for Russian and Eurasian Studies (http://www.ires.uu.se/), provides an academic platform for integrated multi-disciplinary research on recent developments in Russia, and in the post-Soviet space.

Duties: To lead WP 7 of EU Project JUSTNORTH. Duties include: tasks relevant to producing the outcomes and deliverables of WP7, including project communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement. To prepare and maintain the project’s communication and dissemination plans and deliverables to EU standards and produce the project’s communication documents for stakeholder audiences. To work together with the project’s Scientific Coordinator to establish communication links and rapport with the project stakeholders and advisory boards and to liaise with these groups in achieving the project outcomes. To prepare necessary templates and manage communication activities across the project in collaboration with other work packages and researchers.

Requirements: PhD degree in geography or a foreign equivalent to a PhD in geography or related discipline.

Must be a midlevel to senior scholar with an established research profile that includes both Arctic and climate related issues with a publication record that includes environmental processes and their impacts and effects on local populations.

Should be able demonstrate capacity and/or experience to effectively lead a team and to produce high standard documentation and communication materials in English with native fluency. Should have experience of working with nationally or internationally funded research projects, or equivalent managerial position.

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: 01-06-2020 or as otherwise agreed.

Type of employment: Temporary position ending 30-04-2022.

Scope of employment: 50%
