Researcher in Mass Spectrometry Imagning - Bioinformatics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences has 150 employees and a number of visiting researchers andfellow students. The department has twelve research groups with a common administration and we aredoing research and teaching in pharmaceutical cell biology / biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and drug addiction, pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacometry, clinicalpharmacy, bioinformatics, imaging mass spectrometry, molecular neuropharmacology, immunology,biological drugs / biotechnology as well as toxicology and drug safety. Tasks: To develop computational tools to reveal the spatial organisation of biological processes from mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) data obtained from biological samples and from different types of MSI techniques. The tasks include research and assignment research projects. Work includes development of software for the processing of MSI data and to analyse the data with methods such as multivariate statistical methods. The work also includes to practically supervise students, PhD students,and others with regard to biological analyses using mass spectrometric technology (max. 20%)

Qualifications: Eligible to be employed as a researcher is the person who has completed a doctoral degree (PhD) in the field of pharmaceutical, medical, bioinformatics or similar area, or holds a foreign degree which correspond to the doctorate degree in the specified field. Experiences in processing data from MSI analyses, software development for MSI and bioinformatic (multivariate statistical) methods for data analysis are needed.

Salary: Individual salaries.

Starting date: After agreement.
