Postdoctoral position in Economics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Institute for Housing and Urban Research (IBF) is a multidisciplinary research institute with a focus on housing and urban issues. IBF belongs to the Faculty of Social Sciences at Uppsala University and conducts research, in a broad sense, directed towards housing, the built environment, and urban issues. The institute employs around 40 people, among which the majority are researchers and PhD students. IBF's goal is to produce interesting and relevant social research of the highest international quality within its thematic area. The research in Economics at IBF is to a large extent empirically oriented, where modern microeconometric methods is applied on comprehensive, individual-level data. The newly started research project Urban Lab, which has a quantitative focus, runs in close collaboration between IBF and the Department of Economics at Uppsala University. Duties/Project description: The postdoctor will work with research on topics of his or her own choice that align with the broad concerns of the Institute´s research profile as defined above. The position also includes 10% of full-time teaching at the Department of Economics.

Requirements: To qualify for an employment as a postdoctor you must have a PhD degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in Economics. The PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application deadline. The three year period can be extended due to circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, duties in labour unions, etc. 

Additional qualifications: Knowledge of empirically oriented research on microdata is a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on scientific expertise. At equal scientific expertise, experience in the IBF theme area is a merit.
