The position concerns employment as a post-doctor within the research group lifestyle, rehabilitation and long-term illness. Within the research group you will work within two ongoing research projects, both within the research area “Workplace health and rehabilitation”. One of the projects focuses on organizational and social working conditions, mental ill-health and sickness absence within female-dominated industries, and the other project on associations between exposure to workplace sexual and gender-based harassment and mental ill-health, sickness absence, and prescribed medication. In both projects data are drawn from the Swedish Longitudinal Occupational Survey of Health (SLOSH), a cohort that represents the Swedish working population. National register data on, among other things, sickness absence and prescribed medication are linked to survey data in SLOSH.
Duties/Project description: The duties include to, based on the research questions in the projects, conduct statistical analyses of longitudinal associations between organizational and social working conditions (including gender-based and sexual harassment) and mental ill-health, sickness absence and prescribed medication. The work also includes summarizing the results in scientific articles for publication in international peer-review journals and to present the results at scientific conferences.
Requirements: Excellent English, oral and in writing. PhD degree within a relevant area, such as public health, psychology, sociology, or medical science. Experience conducting statistical analyses in statistics programs such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, R or MPLUS. Excellent collaboration skills.
To qualify for an employment as a post-doctor you must have a PhD degree that must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application deadline. The three-year period can be extended due to circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, duties in labor unions, etc.
Additional qualifications: Excellent Swedish, oral and in writing. In the assessment, we will prioritize candidates with prior research experience in the area of organizational and social work environment.
Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the position.
Salary: Individual salary.
Starting date: as agreed.
Type of employment: Temporary position 1 year, with possibility for extension.
