The Department of Education (EDU) conducts research and offers PhD programs and other programs and courses at the undergraduate level in Pedagogy, Curriculum Studies/Didactics and Sociology of Education. EDU participates in teacher training programs and the Bachelor’s Program in Human Resource Management and Working Life. The department also offers several Master’s Programs. The department has about 280 employees; 185 of these are university teachers/researchers, 70 doctoral students and 25 administrators. Work description: Research within the department’s research environments. The holder of this position will mainly conduct research, apply for external research funds within the research area, and, to some extent, do administration. This position requires a continuous presence at the department, active participation in research seminars, and on-going presentations of own research. Teaching and supervision may be included but not more than 20 percent of the position.

Required qualifications: Applicants are eligible for this employment if they hold a PhD or have achieved the equivalent scientific competence in the research area. The appointee must have pedagogical skills and other personal qualities to fulfil the requirements of the position well. Documented skills of conducting independent research as well as good writing and speaking skills in English are required. 

Additional Qualifications: Research based on statistics in relevant areas within Sociology of Education is a particular merit.
