Uppsala University, Communications Department

Uppsala University is a comprehensive research-intensive university with a strong international standing. Our mission is to pursue top-quality research and education and to interact constructively with society. Our most important assets are all the individuals whose curiosity and dedication make Uppsala University one of Sweden’s most exciting workplaces. Uppsala University has 44.000 students, 7.100 employees and a turnover of SEK 7 billion.

Uppsala Health Summit is an international, annual arena for decision-makers, opinion builders and experts for dialogue on how we to implement knowledge from research and innovations for better health and healthcare. All delegates are personally invited, and come from industry, politics, academia, healthcare and civil society, and from different parts of the world. The theme of the summit, which takes place in October 2020, is Managing Antimicrobial Resistance through Behaviour Change.

The goal of Uppsala Health Summit 2020 is to support the work that take place on global and national levels to address antimicrobial resistance with a special focus on improving knowledge and changing behaviours. In workshops and in plenary sessions we will identify existing scalable, evidence-based solutions and discuss obstacles for implementation. What can we learn from other fields and do we need to reframe the messages for different target audiences?

Considering that we are working with contacts in all parts of the world, you may sometimes need to work at odd hours.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a basic prior interest in health policy, and preferably already have some insights in the focus area of this summit, antimicrobial resistance and/or global health.
