Main tasks: 1) development of smart Fat-IBC interfaces for body-area communication, 2) advanced modelling of Fat-IBC channel in different related contexts, 3) characterization of Fat-IBC channels in terms of, e.g., reliability, etc. Active participation in clinical trials and laboratory experiments, as well as, in teaching (maximum of 20 %) and in supervision of students (including doctoral) may be included in the duties.

Requirements: PhD with doctoral degree in microwave engineering, technical physics, electronics or nearby areas, as well as documented multi-year experience in research in RF systems and associated components especially antennas for BAN applications and wearable antennas. We require good knowledge of different microwave systems and components, in both rigid and soft substrates, from simulation and design methods to implementation methods, and of different hardware architectures for data processing. For instrumental and hardware control we require experience with, e.g., LabView and Matlab and on some of the following architectures: VLSI, FPGA, ARM7, Philips 89v51rd2, 8051, 8086, Xilinx CPLD, Beagle Board xM Rev C.
