Researcher in mathematics 20% - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate to graduate level in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.The number of employees is 120, including 30 PhD students. The Department has three research programs: analysis and probability, algebra and geometry, applied mathematics and statistics.

Duties: Research. The main purpose of this employment is to conduct research on computer-assisted proofs for the existence of solutions of boundary-value problems. In particular the stationary solutions to the KS-equation will be studied via an analytic reduction to a bounded, finite-dimensional constraint satisfaction problem.

Requirements: A PhD exam in mathematics. Specialist knowledge in computer-assisted proofs. Programming skills for rigorous numerics is necessary for the position.
