Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry - BMC

The chemistry research at BMC focuses on issues related to catalysis, molecular recognition, and complex molecular systems structure and dynamics, and the correlation between the presence of chemical compounds and biomolecules with various disease states. There is also a strong research in methodology and technology, including the design and synthesis of small organic molecules and biological macromolecules.

Development of new biochemical and analytical methods are the basis for advanced study of biological systems and their regulation and how diseases can be diagnosed and treated. Scientists with expertise in mass spectrometry and biophysical methods of interaction analysis operate in the proteomics and drug discovery areas. Our Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics Facility offers a wide spectra of services where researchers both with and without previous experience of mass spectrometry can put light into new problems. The services of the platform include both routine analysis and development of advanced methods tailored for specific scientific applications. Our facility is placed within the analytical chemistry program which has a long tradition within bioanalysis and mass spectrometry for example.

You can find more information about us here.

One of our employees are going on a parental leave  we are therefore looking for a research engineer 100% who is going to operate within our mass spectrometryfacility.
