Research assistant within the field of bioethics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Where: At the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics, Department of Public Health and Caring sciences Uppsala University

The Centre for Research Ethics & Bioethics (CRB) (www.crb.uu.se) at Uppsala University is an inter-faculty centre. It is a multi-disciplinary research environment with both senior and junior researchers from ethics, philosophy, law, economy, medicine, nursing, genetics, and other fields.

Duties: The main task is to assist the principal investigator in various Swedish and European research projects. In addition, contribute in the process of developing, writing and publishing articles and reports in international, peer-reviewed high impact journals on the ethical, legal and social issues (ELSI) of genomics.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in bioethics, social sciences, law or political science is a requirement.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Additional qualifications:

It is preferred that the applicant hold a master's degree in the aforementioned areas as well as;

• experience in the field of (bio) ethics in the biomedical sector
• experience of work in European research projects
• documented experience of ethical, legal and social issues linked to new technologies in biomedicine.

 Furthermore, knowledge and expertise in a second European language is an asset. A high level of understanding of European policies and understanding of/experience with grant development and/or management is also an asset.

Salary: Individual salary.

Type of employment: Temporary position for 12 months.
