Research assistant - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Medical Cell Biology at Uppsala University has a strong and international research environment with over 100 scientists, including around 25 PhD students, 20 postdocs and 30 researchers and professors.

Duties: The position will concern animal research using Shb knockout mice. This includes mouse genotyping, breeding, tamoxifen injections, tumor cell injection/implantation, mouse monitoring for symptoms of disease, tumor resection surgery, tissue collection after sacrifice, immunostaining for a large number of markers, cell preparation-isolation, FACS analysis, mRNA isolation, qPCR.

Requirements: A relevant University degree and license to perform animal experiments at Uppsala University. Experience and practical skills in mouse genotyping, animal work, tumor injections, tumor resection under anesthesia, organ procurement, immunostaining, FACS staining and analysis, mRNA preparation and qPCR.

Additional qualifications: PhD, previous publications including at least one publication on the Shb gene.
