Researcher position in Economics - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Description: The Department of Economics is one of the largest departments within the Faculty of Social Sciences with approximately 100 employees from a dozen countries. Each year about 1,000 students participate in undergraduate (BA), graduate (MA) and PhD level courses. The research conducted at the department is mainly focused on labour economics, macroeconomics, political economics and public economics. Researchers at the department are frequently engaged as experts by the government and by the media, and interact with the society at large in a number of ways.

Work description: The successful applicant will conduct quantitative research within the research project "Political reactions to liberalization of family law”. The position is funded by Uppsala Center for Labor Studies (UCLS), a multidisciplinary research center covering Economics, Political Science, and Labor Law.

Required qualifications: To qualify for the position you must have a PhD degree, or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree, in Economics or Political Science at the time of the start of the employment. The degree must have been obtained no more than one year prior to the application deadline. The one-year period can be extended due to circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, work in labor unions, etc.

Experience in analyzing quantitative data is a requirement. Experience in qualitative comparative analysis is an advantage.
