Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences has 140 employees and a number of visiting researchers and fellow students. The department has twelve research groups with a common administration and we are doing research and teaching in pharmaceutical cell biology / biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical and drug addiction, pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, pharmacometry, clinical pharmacy, bioinformatics, imaging mass spectrometry, molecular neuropharmacology, immunology, biological drugs / biotechnology as well as toxicology and drug safety. Work duties The project will involve development of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic models based on preclinical and/or clinical data for new and available antibiotics. The models can include both monotherapy and a combination of compounds and aim to be used to predict outcome, response, and / or dosing in healthy volunteers and patients. The project may also involve model-based study design.

Qualifications required
To be eligibility for a position as a Post-doc the applicant must hold a PhD or equivalent. The applicants PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application date. The PhD can be older than three years if there are special circumstances. Such special circumstances can be periods of sick leave, parental leave etc., which are deducted from the three-year period.

Qualified to be employed as a postdoc are the ones with a PhD in pharmacometrics or related fields (eg pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, quantitative pharmacology, systemic pharmacology). We place great emphasis on personality as well as motivation and interest in research in the field of pharmacometrics and antibiotic drug development. Applicants must be able to express themselves well, both orally and in writing, in English.

Desirable skills Experience in pharmacometrics, ie pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling for antibiotics and / or for model-based translation from preclinical to clinic. Interest in and expertise in scientific writing is highly desirable, as is experience and skill in collaborating in international networks.
