Duties/Project description: In this project effects of environmental chemicals on the development and function of the reproductive, endocrine and metabolic systems will be investigated using the frog as a model. Histological, molecular and biochemical methods will be applied. Additional tasks include statistical data analysis and preparation of scientific presentations (written and oral) in English.

Requirements: To qualify for an employment as a postdoctor you must have a PhD degree or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD degree in life sciences (biology, pharmacology, medicine or equivalent). The PhD degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application deadline. The three year period can be extended due to circumstances such as sick leave, parental leave, duties in labour unions, etc.

The successful applicant should have documented advanced skills in histological, molecular, and biochemical methods as well as in animal experimental work. Emphasis will be placed on a strong sense of responsibility and conscientiousness, ability to work independently as well as a team-player. The applicant should have excellent communication skills in written and oral presentation, in English. 

Additional qualifications: Experience of aquatic model organisms (frog or fish), endocrine or reproductive toxicology is considered to be particularly qualifying for this position.
