Project assistant at Erken Laboratory - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

A position as a project assistant in Limnology with special focus on water and sediment chemistry is available at the field station of the Department, the Erken Laboratory,  see www.ieg.uu.se/erken-laboratory

Duties: The candidate will work with the analysis of samples in the certified laboratory of the field station, in particular analyses of water and sediment chemistry of freshwater and brackish samples. Focus will be on the analysis of sediment, such as measurements of total phosphorus concentrations, water content and loss of ignition.

Qualifications required: University education in biology, environment, chemistry or natural sciences or completed university courses within the same subject areas. The candidate should have previous experience with laboratory work and needs to be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and accurately. Candidates must be fluent in spoken as well as written English or Swedish.

Qualifications desired: Previous experience with analyses of water and sediment chemistry.

Position: The position is a temporary position (2 months) on 100%

Salary: Individual salary.

Starting date: 2019-09-01, or as agreed.
