The Department of Organismal Biology teaches and explores the evolution, development and function on the organismal level. For more information see www.iob.uu.se.

Duties: Research on the three-dimensional hard-tissue histology of the earliest vertebrates, principally using synchrotron microtomography data.

Requirements:  PhD in palaeontology or a similar subject. Broad, in-depth research experience on the histology of early vertebrates. Extensive practical experience of making virtual reconstructions of fossil histologies on the basis of synchrotron microtomography data.

Additional qualifications: Experience of writing palaeohistological papers for peer-review journals.
