Special value will be attached to assessing the applicant’s ability to include broad and inclusive perspectives from the fields of ALM and digital humanities in their teaching and research, and how they create understanding and knowledge of how digital methods, digital source materials and digital resource infrastructure in ALM and the cultural heritage sectors influence the conditions for producing knowledge in the field of the humanities and how these skills can be implemented in the workplace.

Assessment criteria, other skills: Administrative and leadership skills are significant to the position and will be assigned considerable importance.

Administrative skill is demonstrated among other things through the ability to plan, organise and prioritise the work in an effective manner adapted to the purpose and through an ability to provide and keep time frames. This skill includes overall activity planning and an ability to manage resources in a manner that reflects the activities’ priorities, as well as an ability to work in a structured manner and based on an awareness of goals and quality.

Leadership skills are shown through the ability to lead the organisation and staff, make decisions, take responsibility, motivate and provide others with the conditions necessary to effectively achieve common goals. Further examples include the ability to coordinate groups as well as encourage motivation, participation and job satisfaction, and the ability to manage conflicts.

The ability to interact with the community and share information about research and development will also be considered. The ability to share information about research and development work can be shown by work with popular science, for example participating in popular education, publications of popular science articles and through participation in public debate on research and education issues.
