One goal of IGP is to promote a close collaboration between clinical and pre-clinical researchers. Research is presently conducted in the areas of medical and clinical genetics, clinical immunology, bioinformatics, pathology, tumor biology and vascular biology. The department is also integrated with the units of clinical genetics, clinical immunology and clinical pathology-cytology at Akademiska Hospital, Uppsala. IGP is involved in many educations at the Medicine and pharmacy domain but is also involved in teaching at the Science and technology domain.
