Research assistant - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate to graduate level in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.

Research project: The research assistant will work on a project called Soccermatics financed by the EU and in cooperation with the company Twelve. The project involves developing tools for analyzing footballmatches and then using this analysis to build computer games.

Duties: The main duty is the development of tools for analyzing footballmatches using the balldata from dataprovider Opta. We are working together with the company Twelve to develop a system for evaluating players and teams. The research assistant will develop tools for analyzing matches and build an Artificial Intelligence Chatbot to talk about matches with fans.

Requirements: BSc degree in engineering physics, applied mathematics or related area. A strong background in data analysis. Documented programmingskills in Python, .Net, C# or similar.

Additional qualifications: Familiarity with using Optadata is an advantage. Knowledge of football is desirable.
