PhD position in Theoretical Physics within the subfields of Quantum Field Theory, Supergravity and String Theory - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

At the Division of Theoretical Physics, Department of Physics and Astronomy, we are engaged in research in, e.g., String Theory, Quantum Field Theory, Supergravity and related Mathematical Physics.

Examples of our activities include: supersymmetry, gauge/gravity duality, integrability, scattering amplitudes in super-Yang-Mills and supergravity, cosmology, and string phenomenology.

The position requires a University degree in physics. The application must include a letter where the applicant describes herself/himself, his/her merits and research interests as well as a CV, copies of university grades, completed theses or manuscripts and other relevant publications We appreciate if letters of recommendation are included.

The position as a PhD student is limited to four years of full-time studies, five years if departmental work is included. The main activities will be research studies. Other duties at the department related to teaching and administration may be included in the position (maximum 20%).

The research education comprises four years.

Salary: According to local agreement for PhD students and teaching assistants.
