Work description: The project focuses on establishing a biologically relevant in vitro neuromuscular junction on an innovative microelectrode array chip as a model system for studying neuromuscular physiology and disorders.
Qualifications: To qualify for an employment as a post-doctor, the applicant must hold a doctor’s degree or a foreign qualification deemed equivalent to a doctorate. To be eligible for a position as postdoctoral researcher the applicant's Ph.D. degree must have been obtained no more than three years prior to the application date; however, for example periods of sick leave or parental leave are deducted from the three-year period.
Criteria for ranking:
Essential skills are:
- Practical experience with primary cell culture, particularly muscle cells and neurons, as well as microscopy.
- An ability to work effectively, independently and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Strong English skills with a publication record in international, peer reviewed journals.
Highly desired skills are:
- Proficiency in programming using Matlab, python and strong familiarity with Linux.
- Strong skills in experimental design and interpretation, and scientific writing.
-Documented courses in experimental animal work (Felasa C or similar) as well as practical skills in electrophysiology are also highly valued.
